Mr. Charlie Balagtas, the University Planning Director and a faculty of the School of Graduate Studies, joined the Philippine One Health University Network (PhilOHUN) as a founding member and attended its recently concluded Strategic Planning on July 4-5, 2022 in Manila. The activity was convened by Dr. Michael Tee of the University of the Philippines – Manila, the Founding President of PhilOHUN. The event was attended by key officials of the South East Asian One Health University Network (SEAOHUN), and representatives of CHEVRON as one of its funding sources. New officials of the organization were elected which is essential for its registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-profit organization.
As an offshoot of the activity, PhilOHUN and ParSU, in cooperation with the LGUs in Partido Area, will be holding an event intended for the local health workers and barangay veterinarians towards the end of September 2022.
