At Partido State University Caramoan Campus, the College of Sustainable Communities and Ecosystems stands as a center of academic excellence and innovation, offering two distinct and specialized degree programs: the Bachelor of Science in Conservation and Restoration Ecology and the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management major in Ecotourism. Bachelor of Science in Biology, Major in Conservation and Restoration Ecology (BS BioCaRE)
The Bachelor of Science in Biology, Major in Conservation and Restoration Ecology (BS BioCaRE), is a landmark academic program at Partido State UniversityโCaramoan Campus, meticulously designed to meet the escalating global challenges of environmental degradation, climate change, habitat destruction, and the resultant decline in biodiversity. As the first specialized curriculum of its kind in the Bicol Region, the program is founded upon a commitment to nurturing a new generation of scientists and practitioners who will serve as knowledgeable stewards of natural ecosystems. The program's philosophy is rooted in the principle that effective biodiversity management and restoration are critical for the sustainable functioning of ecosystems and the well-being of human societies.
Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management major in Ecotourism (BSTME)
The Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management major in Ecotourism is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to lead in the sustainable tourism industry. The program emphasizes environmental sustainability, cultural sensitivity, and community empowerment by integrating ecotourism principles into tourism management. Students are trained to conduct research, develop and manage ecotourism programs, and promote biodiversity conservation while upholding Filipino heritage and ethical responsibility. Graduates are prepared to become competent, service-oriented, and socially responsible tourism professionals capable of creating innovative, community-based, and environmentally sound tourism initiatives.
