




<Partido State University, through its Center for Sustainable Communities, further advanced its commitment to internationalization and academic engagement through the conduct of "Strengthening International Ties: A Research Visit from Kochi University, Japan," held on January 19-20, 2026, that convened key university offices and academic units to sustain research synergy, knowledge exchange and management, and international collaboration.
On January 19, a meeting with Mr. Yuji Namura, a Graduate Student from Kochi University, was held, in which initial discussions focused on identifying more areas for collaborative research. During a courtesy visit to University President Dr. Arnel B. Zarcedo, Namura was briefed on ParSU's research priorities, institutional directions, and ongoing initiatives in sustainable development and marine science.
Consequently, on January 20, Namura delivered a special lecture titled "Short-Term Electric Field-Induced Branch Formation in Temperate Acropora muricata" at the ParSU Sagรฑay Campus- College of Fisheries and Marine Science, offering students and faculty members valuable insights into advanced research methodologies, emerging scientific findings, and firsthand exposure to international research standards and innovative approaches in marine and environmental sciences.
The visit culminated in a follow-through meeting at the ParSU Goa Campus, where discussions centered on prospective collaborative research projects, faculty and researcher exchanges, and co-managed academic initiatives. These deliberations underscored the commitment of both institutions to strengthening academic cooperation and sustaining meaningful international research partnerships.
This engagement reflects the University's continuing pursuit of internationalization by promoting intellectual dialogue, cultural exchange, and collaborative research, enriching the academic experience of its students and faculty while laying the groundwork for sustained partnerships with Kochi University, Japan, reinforcing ParSU's role in the global educational and research community.
