
Center for Bioresource-Based Enterprise Development
Approved through BOR Res. No. 14, s. 2019, the Center fo Biorecource-based Enterprise Development focuses on promoting the utilization of bioresources for sustainable economic development. It aims to conduct research, provide training programs, and establish partnerships with industries to support the growth of bioresource-baed enterprises in the region.
Objectives
CEBD aims to be the center for development of viable enterprises engaged in the sustainable utilization of locally available bioresources in the Partido area. Specifically, it aims to:
- Develop viable enterprises using potential bio-resouorces to promote sustainable utilization;
- Analyze supply and value chain dynamics of locally available bio-resources;
- Conduct market studies for bioresource-based innovative products and enterprises;
- Innovate and develop food and non-food products utilizing locally available bio-resources;
- Assist local government units (LGUs) in developming local economic policies; and
- Assist agri-fishery entrepreneurs through the conduct of short courses, trianings, seminars, and consultation services, among others.
