The College of Business and Management (CBM), through the CBM Student Council, actively promoted student well-being through its Mental Health Awareness Program titled โHello, Kumusta Ka?โ held earlier today, January 15, 2026, at the University Covered Court, emphasizing that student mental wellness is just as vital as academic success.
The activity was attended by student leaders, including student council officers and committee members, and organization officers, to increase awareness and understanding of mental health concerns among students.
Goa municipal councilor, social worker, and guidance counselor, Dr. Ruby Pan, highlighted practical insights on mental health awareness, the early recognition of concerns, and the importance of seeking support within the community during her discussion on understanding mental health.
To further encourage participation and reflection, the program featured mindfulness or relaxation exercises, affirmation meditation, and a mental health quiz, allowing students to openly express their thoughts and engage in conversations about mental well-being, making the activity both informative and experiential.ย
This initiative reflects the universityโs commitment to promoting holistic student development and mental wellness, fostering a supportive academic environment where every student can thrive both academically and personally.
