𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐒𝐔 𝐂𝐄𝐃, 𝐒𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐁𝐢𝐤𝐨𝐥, 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐄𝐃 𝐂𝐒 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞

Partido State University (ParSU) College of Education (CED), in collaboration with Saysay Bikol and the Department of Education, Division of Camarines Sur (DepED CS), conducted an extension activity entitled “𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐝𝐨 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚.” The event took place at the CED Review Training Center and marks a significant step in strengthening educational support systems in the region.

This initiative assesses the current needs, challenges, and opportunities Social Studies educators face across Partido. Through active engagement, the activity serves as a foundational step toward designing relevant and responsive professional development programs. 

Serving as the keynote speaker of the activity, Atty. Salvador T. Pelingon, Education Program Supervisor of the Department of Education Division of Camarines Sur, provided key insights into current educational frameworks and professional development strategies for educators. 

The scoping activity brought educational leaders and partners, including Social Studies teachers from both secondary and tertiary levels from different schools across Sagñay, Tigaon, Goa, San Jose, Minalabac, Lagonoy, Tinambac, Presentacion, and Caramoan, School Principals Mr. Crespin Adayo, Mr. Armi C. Rivero, and Mr. Don Bañaga, and officials from Saysay Bikol Rev. Fr. Francis Tordilla, President and Mr. John dela Paz, Director of Education. 

This partnership supports ParSU’s commitment to providing quality education through research, innovation, and extension. It strengthens its goal of advancing community engagement, reaffirming its role as an institution that nurtures transformative education and inclusive growth across local communities.
