Partido State University (ParSU), through its College of Environmental Science and Design (CESD) โ Tinambac Campus, recognized the contributions of its On-the-Job Training (OJT) partners and celebrated student internsโ achievements during the OJT Banquet on October 27, 2026.
The banquet recognized OJT cooperators and stakeholders for sharing their expertise and providing students with opportunities to gain workplace experience. It also honored top-performing ย Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and BS Environmental Planning interns for their performance during their training, reflecting the Universityโs pursuit of quality education that translates into professional competence and meaningful community impact.
Among the guests were Mr. Joppet Barrameda, OIC Municipal Agriculturist of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tinambac; EnP. Leandro Befinosa, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer of the LGU of Tigaon, along with MDRRMO staff Kier John Michael T. Atrero and Florida G. Parcio; Lea M. Beltran, Municipal Agriculturist of LGU Tigaon; and Jayzel Asido, designated Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer and Environment Management Specialist I of the LGU of San Jose.
Also present were Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Michael A. Clores; CESD Dean Yolda T. Abante; CESD OJT Coordinator Fernando M. Llave; CESDย faculty and non-teaching personnel; and OJT trainees.
In his message, ParSU President Dr. Arnel B. Zarcedo emphasized the responsibility of future environmental science and planning professionals to protect natural resources, support community development, and safeguard the welfare of future generations.
โOur goal is not simply to produce employable graduates but professionals whose knowledge, integrity, and work make a difference in the lives of others,โ President Zarcedo said.
The event highlighted the Universityโs commitment to providing students with practical learning experiences that complement classroom instruction and prepare them for professional responsibilities.ย
Through its partnerships with government agencies and other host institutions, ParSU helps students apply their knowledge in real-world settings while developing the skills and values needed to serve their communities.
