ParSU Convenes Experts for Dialogue on Innovation, Risk, and Resilience

The Partido State University (ParSU) College of Business and Management (CBM) brought together thought leaders, educators, and development experts for the 2026 Economic & Education Frontiers Forum on April 24, 2026, in the ParSU Auditorium, highlighting the urgent need for innovation and resilience in an increasingly fragmented world.

Anchored on the theme “Navigating Economic Frontiers: Innovation and Resilience in a Fragmented World,” the forum aimed to deepen understanding of global and local economic shifts while equipping educators and future professionals with the tools to respond to emerging challenges.

In his welcome remarks, University President Dr. Arnel B. Zarcedo emphasized the importance of forward-thinking education and adaptive leadership in times of uncertainty. He underscored the University’s role in shaping graduates who are not only academically prepared but also resilient, innovative, and globally aware.

The forum featured a distinguished roster of speakers who tackled critical issues shaping today’s economic and educational landscape. Setting the tone for the discussions, Joefrey M. Calimag of Kyungsung University, South Korea, explored fragmented markets and strategic alignments, highlighting how institutions and economies must reposition themselves in a rapidly shifting global environment.

Building on this global perspective, Frederick A. Halcon of Quantic School of Business and Technology, USA, addressed the complexity of global risks, emphasizing the need for agile, informed, and forward-looking decision-making in navigating uncertainties.

Providing a grounded national and regional perspective, Armylene B. Posado of the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) Region V discussed economic resilience at the national and regional levels, underscoring the importance of localized strategies and sustainable development in strengthening communities.

Complementing these perspectives, Felicia I. Yeban of the Philippine Normal University shifted the focus to education, emphasizing the role of innovation in teaching and the development of human capital as essential drivers of long-term resilience.

The plenary sessions transitioned into a dynamic panel discussion, where speakers exchanged perspectives and engaged participants in meaningful dialogue. The forum concluded with a synthesis of key insights and actionable recommendations, reinforcing the shared responsibility of academic institutions in addressing complex global challenges.

More than an academic gathering, the forum served as a platform for connection, reflection, and forward-thinking—empowering the ParSU community to navigate change with confidence, competence, and purpose.
