To reinforce advancement of public health through education, the Partido State University (ParSU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Health, Bicol Center for Health Development (DOH Bicol CHD) yesterday, May 14, 2025, at the Vela Hotel, Legazpi City, strengthening its role in promoting the National Immunization Program to build long-term health security.
The MOU signing was held during the 2nd Bicol Immunization Summit with the theme โArangkadang Pagbabakuna: Proteksyon para sa Bawat Pamilyang Pilipinoโ, organized by the DOH Bicol CHD, which supports the โHumanly Possibleโ campaign while raising strategies to increase vaccine coverage, especially among children.ย
By signing this MOU, ParSU formally partakes as a member of the Bicol Regional Immunization Council, solidifying its ongoing commitment to community engagement by integrating its research, academic, and extension programs in building resilient and sustainable communities.ย
ParSU was represented by President Arnel B. Zarcedo, EDEL, and Dr. Shirlene Esplana, Dean of the College of Public Safety and Community Health. Also in attendance were diverse partners and stakeholders, including national government agencies, non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, and civil society organizations.
