The Partido State University (ParSU) College of Education (CED) formalized its partnership with the Barangay Local Government Unit of Gimagtocon, Lagonoy, through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for Project Activating Knowledge towards รffective Parenthood (AKรP), the college's extension program. The collaboration reflects the shared commitment of the university and the barangay to enhance parenting skills and support holistic family development.
Project AKรP offers research-based capacity-building activities to equip parents with practical knowledge and strategies that foster their children's overall growth and learning. By promoting affective and effective parenting practices, the program aims to cultivate resilient families and strengthen community cohesion.
University President Dr. Arnel B. Meanwhile, Vice President for Research and Extension, Dr. Raul G. Bradecina, highlighted how parents foster self-efficacy and motivation in childrenโkey factors for long-term success. Both leaders expressed their support for Project AKรP and commended Barangay Gimagtocon for partnering in this initiative.
Barangay Gimagtocon Chairperson Hon. Teddy Lunar, who was also present during the event, described the program as a "noble endeavor." He further reaffirmed the barangay's active commitment to supporting parents and families throughout the project's implementation.
