Partido State University (ParSU) and the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) formalize a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing at the ParSU College of Environmental Science and Design (CESD) Tinambac Campus.
This partnership will open opportunities for joint research, technical assistance, and community-based initiatives aligning with national and global sustainability goals.
Notably, this collaboration aims to significantly boost the promotion of the Environmental Planning program, particularly by enhancing student enrollment and facilitating the employment of qualified faculty members.
This partnership supports ParSU's vision of becoming a leading institution in science and technology to promote sustainable and resilient communities. It brings the university closer to fulfilling its educational, research, and service mandates while reinforcing its relevance in addressing environmental and societal challenges.
Through this, ParSU aligns itself with the national organization responsible for shaping the future of environmental planning in the Philippines, which enhances the university's credibility in the field.
In attendance are PIEP President, Camarines Sur Chapter, Dr. Mary Ruth V. Parro, Former PIEP National President EnP., Dr. Adolfo V. Encila, ParSU President Arnel B. Zarcedo, EDEL, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Michael A. Clores, Vice President for Administration and Finance Prof. Charlie V. Balagtas, OIC Dean of the CESD Yolda T. Abante, MRN, and CESD faculty and staff.
PIEP is a non-government, non-profit, professional organization for environmental planners to promote, advance, and raise the study, practice, and development of environmental planning in the Philippines.
