Partido State University (ParSU), through its Quality Assurance Center (QAC), reaffirmed its commitment to excellence after completing the Online Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) Inc. First Survey Visit.ย
Held via Zoom from September 15โ19, 2025, the accreditation covered five academic programs: BS Economics (BSE), BS Marine Biology (BSMB), BS Industrial Security Management (BS ISM), Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Electrical Engineering Technology (BET-EET), and Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Mechanical Engineering Technology (BET-MET). This accreditation reaffirmed ParSUโs determination to uphold and surpass established standards in higher education.ย
During the week-long evaluation, accreditors inspected documents, conducted classroom observations, held a virtual tour of the campus and its facilities, and interviewed students, parents, alumni, stakeholders, faculty, and administrators.ย
In his message, University President Dr. Arnel B. Zarcedo expressed gratitude and firm resolve, emphasizing that ParSU will embrace every recommendation as a roadmap for growth, every commendation as encouragement to sustain its strengths, and every challenge to improve further.ย
Guided by its vision and anchored on a culture of quality, accountability, and innovation, the university will continue to advance excellence in instruction, research, extension, and governance.ย
The survey visit brought together seasoned accreditors who evaluated the programs. Dr. Christopher S. Vicencio served as AACCUP Coordinator, while Dr. Nancy F. Galban led the evaluation for Area VII-Library of all the 5 programs under survey. Prof. Purisima G. Romero and Prof. Van Ryan I. Alipoyo assessed BS Industrial Security Management; Prof. Gemma Lucitte A. Cabrillos and Dr. Edgar M. Hortillosa reviewed BS Marine Biology; and Dr. Aileen L. Camba and Dr. Henry B. Prudente evaluated BS Economics. For the engineering programs, Dr. Allan Q. Quismundo and Engr. Maricel M. Matuto assessed BET-MET, while Engr. Elenor M. Reyes and Engr. Rhobert E. Alvarez evaluated BET-EET.ย
The accreditation marks a significant milestone for ParSU, reflecting the collaborative efforts of university officials, program chairs, faculty, and staff. Their work was guided by the leadership of the respective college deans, Dr. Shirlene Esplana of the College of Public Safety and Community Health for BSISM, Dr. Jonel M. Corral of the College of Fisheries and Marine Science for BSMB, Dr. Rina Abner-Puerta of the College of Business and Management for BSE, and Engr. Emelina Padayao of the College of Engineering and Computational Sciences for BET-EET and BET-MET.ย
Central to this success, the QAC played a crucial role in facilitating the survey visits and steering the universityโs quality assurance initiatives. This milestone reinforces the universityโs mission to deliver quality education that develops competent, proactive, and resilient graduates.ย
As ParSU moves forward, it remains steadfast in shaping a future defined by purpose, collaboration, and excellence.ย
