Partido State University (ParSU) strengthens its international linkages through an Institutional Collaboration Agreement with the University of Cincinnati (UC), marking a significant step toward advancing global higher education through joint research, faculty exchange, and academic cooperation.

The collaboration was initiated through the efforts of Dr. Bruce Jayne, a renowned snake biomechanics expert and visiting professor from UC, whose fieldwork in Naga and Caramoan engaged ParSU students and faculty in studying Cerberus and Acrochordus granulatus snakes to analyze gape size and feeding patterns. His hands-on fieldwork and hybrid lecture at the College of Sustainable Communities and Ecosystems (CSCE) Peninsula Hall exemplified the spirit of immersive, cross-cultural scientific learning.

Spearheaded by Dr. Jayne, Dr. Michael Clores, Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Concurrent Dean of CSCE, and Mr. Cyrus Dela Cruz, Conservation Biology Department Chair, the five-year partnership opens doors for transformative research, innovation, and academic exchange โ€” with annual reviews and opportunities for renewal.

Through this collaboration, ParSU reinforces its commitment to global engagement, scientific advancement, and sustainable development, contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
