Partido State University (ParSU) welcomed Dr. Satoshi Kubota, a distinguished professor from the Department of Marine Resource Science and Head of the Kuroshio Science Unit at Kochi University, Japan, for an International Research Collaboration Meeting on December 12, 2025. 

Dr. Kubota’s visit was part of the ongoing partnership between ParSU and Kochi University, aimed at strengthening academic ties, exploring joint research opportunities, and advancing collaborative projects in marine resources and food science. University officials and faculty members engaged in productive discussions, reflecting ParSU’s sustained commitment to global research engagement and academic excellence. 

This latest meeting reinforces the University's continuous effort to expand international linkages and foster innovative research initiatives that support sustainable marine resource management. 

Partido State University College of Education (CED), in partnership with Vongchavalitkul University’s Faculty of Education, ASIACALL, and Goa Community College, hosted the 4th International Conference on Education on December 12, 2025, to respond to the the urgent need for dynamic, research-informed, and future-forward approaches to teacher professional development. This year’s gathering aimed to transform how professional development is designed, delivered, and sustained for 21st-century educators.

In his message, ParSU President Dr. Arnel B. Zarcedo highlighted the evolving role of educators, emphasizing that teachers must move beyond traditional functions and embrace their roles as innovators and designers of dynamic learning ecosystems. “Educators can no longer remain passive conduits of knowledge – they must become architects of innovation and co-creators of futures shaped by creativity, data, and compassion,” he said.

With the theme “From Educators to Innovators: Rethinking Professional Development,” the conference invited educators, researchers, and scholars to explore new perspectives on empowering continuous professional growth. This year’s discussions were anchored on five thematic areas: Innovative Teaching and Emerging Technologies; Gender and Development in Education, Social Welfare, and Community Development; Linguistics and Applied Language Studies; Reflective Practices in Education; and Early Career Research Perspective. Together, these strands fostered rich and meaningful discourse  across education and research communities. 

Hosted in a hybrid setup at ParSU, the conference created an accessible and collaborative platform for global dialogue. Esteemed keynote speakers further elevated the discussions, offering forward-looking insights that framed the event's vision and direction.

Prof. Dr. Andrew Lian, President of ASIACALL, explored how emerging technologies are reshaping professional development and expanding opportunities for educators to personalize instruction especially with the digital transformation and AI-driven learning systems at pose.  Dr. Isabel Martin, Chair of the Department of Educational Leadership and Management at Ateneo de Manila University, also underscored the responsibility of educators as architects of inclusive innovation, stressing the need to design learning environments that respond to diverse learners' needs and uphold equity in a rapidly evolving educational landscape. Dr. Loy Lising, Senior Lecturer at Macquarie University, discussed how  evidence-based professional development empowers teachers to reimagine classroom practice, highlighting the role of reflective teaching, peer collaboration, and continuous upskilling in driving educational innovation.

The conference brought together presenters and participants from institutions including St. Louis University, Benguet State University, Vongchavalitkul University, Lincoln University College Malaysia, Allama Iqbal Open University, Bahria University, University of the Philippines, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, Technological University of the Philippines, Capiz State University – Dayao Satellite College, Davao de Oro State College, Laguna University, Southern Leyte State University, Pirminggan Elementary School, and ParSU. Participants were also invited to breakout sessions that deepened the day’s conversations, offering hands-on learning spaces where they exchanged best practices, explored emerging frameworks, and translated keynote insights into actionable strategies.

By leading this global exchange of ideas, ParSU strengthens its role in shaping innovative, resilient, and inclusive education systems, advancing SDG 4 :Quality Education and SDG 17 :Partnerships for the Goals and reaffirming its commitment to developing educators who can thrive in a rapidly evolving world.

Partido State University (ParSU) commenced the release of the student financial assistance under major government subsidy programs, including the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) and the Tulong Dunong Program (TDP), today, December 16, 2025, at the ParSU Covered Courts.

A total of 301 ParSUans, out of 1,800 qualified beneficiaries, received financial assistance totaling PHP 3,364,500 during the initial release, with 286 students granted TES benefits ranging from PHP 10,000 to PHP 20,000 and 15 students receiving PHP 7,500 each under the TDP.

The release of financial assistance remains an ongoing process, with subsequent batches of TES and TDP scholars scheduled to receive their benefits as the distribution continues in the coming weeks. These subsequent releases will likewise include qualified beneficiaries of the Scholarship Program for Coconut Farmers and their Families (CoScho), ensuring that all eligible students are accommodated in the distribution process.

ParSU continues to uphold its commitment to accessible and inclusive higher education by ensuring equitable release of student financial assistance. Through the sustained implementation of TES, TDP, and other government-supported scholarship programs, the University reaffirms its support to learners, ensuring that no student is left behind.

In an effort to strengthen ParSU's presence in the international scientific community and fostering crucial academic exchange, three Partido State University (ParSU) Faculty members presented their latest research findings at the 𝟏𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐊𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐨 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦.

The symposium, held from November 29 to December 1 at the prestigious National Sun Yat Sen University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, served as a vital platform for sharing global advancements in ocean and coastal sciences. 

ParSU faculty members Ms. Liezel Atole-Nieva, Mr. Francis Ignatius Nieva, and Mr. Raul Burce delivered compelling oral presentations showcasing their latest research. 

Their contributions elevated ParSU’s presence in the international scientific community and advanced collaborations that support Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 14 (Life Below Water), reinforcing the university’s commitment to research excellence and environmental stewardship.
