The Finance Services Division of Partido State University (ParSU), through its Accounting Unit, spearheaded a hybrid Orientation-Workshop on the Documentary Requirements for Common University Transactions yesterday, July 21, 2025, at the RDE Training Hall, Goa, Camarines Sur. ย
Participated in by various unit heads and personnel, the activity aimed to provide clear guidance on the necessary documentation for frequently processed transactions, thereby enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with existing financial policies and regulations.
In his message, ParSU President Arnel B. Zarcedo, EDEL, emphasized the university's role as a steward of public funds, stating that credibility is a shared responsibility to ensure reliability and accuracy. ย He then reaffirmed that the university leads not only in instruction, research, and extension but also in governance, compliance, and institutional integrity.ย
This initiative supports ParSU's commitment to strengthening administrative systems and ensuring accountable and transparent financial management across its transactions within the university.ย

Partido State University (ParSU) warmly welcomed the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) team for the 2025 Field Season of the Bicol Archaeological Project (BAP) on Friday, July 19, 2025.
Launched in 2016, the BAP is an interdisciplinary research program exploring the enduring impacts of Spanish colonialism on the Bicol region, focusing on how Indigenous communities responded to and resisted these colonial changes. The initiative is a collaborative endeavor among UCLA, ParSU, the Archdiocese of Caceres, and various Local Government Units across Camarines Sur.
Running from July to August, the BAP aims to deepen historical knowledge, promote cultural heritage awareness, and engage academic and local communities through lecture-workshops and community engagement activities, among others. This year's focus is on Binanwaan localities, aiming to reconstruct a more nuanced understanding of historical land use, cultural persistence, and place-making practices in Bicol.
The BAP team is led by Professor Stephen Acabado of UCLA and composed of students, faculty, and researchers from UCLA, University of Oregon, University of the Philippines-Baguio, and ParSU.ย
Through this, the university remains at the forefront of vital research and community collaboration where archaeology meets cultural preservation and education.

Partido State University (ParSU) held a blessing ceremony for its four newly acquired service vehicles, marking another step toward improving mobility and operational efficiency across its campuses.ย
The newly acquired units include a 2024 Toyota Innova, two 2025 Toyota Hilux GR units, and a 2025 Toyota Super Grandia. These vehicles are expected to enhance day-to-day operations and ensure seamless inter-campus coordination and support.
ParSU remains steadfast in ensuring more timely delivery of academic and administrative services in every campus and community it serves.ย

To further promote innovation and develop students' entrepreneurial potential, the College of Business and Management (CBM) of Partido State University (ParSU) spearheaded the Technology Business Incubation (TBI): Linang: Leveraging, Innovation, Nurturing Aspirations, Navigating Growth on July 17-18, 2025.ย
The two-day event featured esteemed speakers Mr. Harvin Ong, MBA TBI Director at Naga College Foundation and Prof. Ma. Crestia Banares, Associate Professor and Technology Transfer Officer in Bicol University.ย
Mr. Ong discussed key topics such as the establishment of ParSU-TBI, crafting a mission-vision for TBI, ideation and creative solution generation and market validation.ย
Meanwhile, Prof. Banares provided an overview of the technopreneurial landscape in the University and introduced the fundamentals of design thinking with emphasis on understanding users and their needs. Both speakers guided participants through idea presentation ang prototyping activities.ย
Selected faculty from various colleges participants engaged in intensive TBI presentations following the talks, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange to develop viable business concepts.ย
Through this initiative, ParSU continues to deliver quality educational experiences while nurturing a new generation of innovative and entrepreneurial leaders.ย
