The Partido State University College of Environmental Science and Design (CESD) proudly concluded the two-day Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Quality Assurance Team (RQAT) evaluation for the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) of the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Planning with positive results.

As the only University in the Bicol region offering this program, ParSU reaffirms its role as a regional leader in environmental and sustainable development education and, thus, continuously seeks advancements.ย 

During the exit conference, CHED Education Supervisor Dr. Jean Salalima-Go and RQAT Member Prof. Erwin E. Torres commended the program's notable improvements, which align with CHED standards, while offering constructive recommendations for further enhancement. The University will address these within the next month, which marks a pivotal step toward formally granting the COPC.

In his message, ParSU President Arnel B. Zarcedo, EDEL, emphasized the program's relevance in the community, stating that environmental planning responds to accelerating urbanization, worsening climate challenges, and the rising demand for inclusive development.ย 

He further emphasized the University's vision of nurturing visionaries and professionals who will lead local and regional initiatives in environmental education and research. He then expressed sincere gratitude to the dedicated faculty and staff of the CESD, as the latter is one step closer to securing its COPC.ย 

Meanwhile, the RQAT described the process as both a mirror and a map that reflects the program's current strengths and will serve as a guide for ParSU's next steps toward the betterment of the program. Further, the evaluators encouraged ParSU to continue refining curricular outcomes, enhancing faculty development, improving resources, and expanding service to the community.

As ParSU takes on these challenges, this milestone reflects the University's steadfast commitment to excellence, resilience, and sustainable development.ย

Partido State University (ParSU) and the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) formalize a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing at the ParSU College of Environmental Science and Design (CESD) Tinambac Campus.

The MOU signing marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration between ParSU and PIEP to advance sustainable development,ย academic cooperation, and capacity-building in environmental planning.

This partnership will open opportunities for joint research, technical assistance, and community-based initiatives aligning with national and global sustainability goals.

Notably, this collaboration aims to significantly boost the promotion of the Environmental Planning program, particularly by enhancing student enrollment and facilitating the employment of qualified faculty members.

This partnership supports ParSU's vision of becoming a leading institution in science and technology to promote sustainable and resilient communities. It brings the university closer to fulfilling its educational, research, and service mandates while reinforcing its relevance in addressing environmental and societal challenges.

Through this, ParSU aligns itself with the national organization responsible for shaping the future of environmental planning in the Philippines, which enhances the university's credibility in the field.

Newly commissioned officers and proud Partido State University(ParSU) alumni, 2LT Patricia Arnica T. Muรฑoz, PA (Bachelor of Science in Sanitary Engineering) and 2LT Joshua B. Sanin, PA (Bachelor of Arts in Political Science), returned to their alma mater to express their gratitude and reconnect with the institution that helped shape their path to military service.

ParSU President Arnel B. Zarcedo, EDEL, welcomed the officers, expressing pride in their achievement and the honor it brings to the university. Their commissioning into the military service resonates with the kind of graduates ParSU continues to produce who are resilient, purpose-driven, and ready to serve the nation.

Both officers recently graduated from the Officer Candidate Course (OCC) "Nagdilaab" Class 62-2025 and were officially commissioned as Second Lieutenants of the Philippine Army during the graduation ceremony held on June 6, 2025, at Makabulos Grandstand, Camp O'Donnell, Capas, Tarlac.

Following the groundbreaking ceremony held last February 27, 2025, Partido State University, Goa Campus, and Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) officially inaugurated the new LBP ATM Booth, marking a significant step toward enhancing financial accessibility and promoting banking convenience for its community.

In his message, ParSU President Arnel B. Zarcedo, EDEL, expressed gratitude to LBP for granting the university's long-standing request to install an ATM on campus. "In less than four months since the groundbreaking, we return today to witness the realization of a shared vision between ParSU and LBP...to bring essential services closer to our academic community," he added.

He further emphasized that the newly installed ATM symbolizes progress, innovation, and the collective commitment to institutional development and community welfare and is now fully operational to serve students, personnel, and nearby residents.

Echoing this commitment, LBP Vice President and Head of the Bicol Branches Group Nardo M. Masa highlighted the importance of the partnership. โ€œKarangalan po ng LBP na maipahatid ang aming serbisyo sa Partido State University. Ang ATM booth na ito ay isa sa 172 operational ATM units sa buong Bicolโ€”patunay sa aming kahandaang maglingkod saan mang sulok ng bansa,โ€ VP Masa said.

Notably, LBP acknowledged the possibility of installing ATM booths on other ParSU campuses, affirming their continued support for educational advancement and financial inclusion.

Partido State University (ParSU) holds the initial Technical Working Group meeting for the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings at the ParSU Boardroom.ย 


The agenda includes an overview of the GreenMetric rankings, emphasizing their global significance and the criteria used for evaluation. The university will present an initial assessment of its current sustainability performance, to be followed by a discussion of the roles and responsibilities of TWG members.

The session will also cover a timeline of activities to guide the preparation process, outline steps for drafting sustainability-related policies for Board of Regents approval, provide a briefing on submission guidelines and the online questionnaire, and conclude with an open forum and discussion of next steps.

UI GreenMetric is a global sustainability ranking system that evaluates universities in key areas such as energy, climate change, waste, water, transportation, infrastructure, and education.ย 


Through this initiative, ParSU assesses its sustainability practices, strengthens its environmental strategies, and works toward international recognition in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.ย
