Research report “The Bicol River Basin Project: Development of Comprehensive Early Warning System for Agri-Fishery Communities” authored by Ricky P. Laureta, Diomerl Edward B. Baldo and Ric Ryan H. Regalado was recognized as this year’s Outstanding Book/Monograph (OBM) given by the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST). The OBM Awards, according to NAST, are given annually for books and/or monographs published by Filipino publishers based in the Philippines within five years preceding the award with majority of the authors of publication being Filipinos. The awardees received a plaque of recognition and a cash prize of Twenty-Five Thousand Pesos (Php 25,000.00) given during NAST’s 44th Annual Scientific Meeting held last July 13 and 14, 2022 at The Manila Hotel.
Mr. Charlie Balagtas, the University Planning Director and a faculty of the School of Graduate Studies, joined the Philippine One Health University Network (PhilOHUN) as a founding member and attended its recently concluded Strategic Planning on July 4-5, 2022 in Manila. The activity was convened by Dr. Michael Tee of the University of the Philippines – Manila, the Founding President of PhilOHUN. The event was attended by key officials of the South East Asian One Health University Network (SEAOHUN), and representatives of CHEVRON as one of its funding sources. New officials of the organization were elected which is essential for its registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-profit organization.
Partido State University and Vongchavalitkul University in Thailand inks academic and research collaboration accord
The Partido State University (ParSU) College of Education (COEd) and Vongchavalitkul University (VU) Faculty of Education in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand has signed the memorandum of agreement (MOA) for its academic and research collaboration last February 28, 2022 via zoom.
